Cardno Emerging Markets (Australia)
Internship Program

The Cardno Emerging Markets (Australia) Internship program is a program targeted specifically at undergraduates studying in their final year and post graduate students studying at the Masters Level in the International Development field.

The purpose of the program is to provide students the opportunity to work in an international development organization whilst allowing them to utilize their practical work and research to gain accreditation for their course.

Cardno Emerging Markets (Australia) offers two programs throughout the year to coincide with university semester dates. Students will be predominantly be doing research based work for
a 2-3 month period. Please note that this is unpaid work.

Criteria:

• Current undergraduates in penultimate year or post graduate students studying at the Masters Level in International Development field at Universities in Australia;
• Demonstrated understanding of development issues through study or practical application;
• Well-developed interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills demonstrated through successful liaison and rapport building with a wide variety of stakeholders;
• Demonstrated capacity to coordinate and produce quality documentation in English that conveys ideas and concepts in a clear, logical and accessible manner;
• Ability to prioritise, plan and organise workflow to tight timeframes, handle multiple tasks and be flexible with changing priorities;
• Sound analytical and conceptual skills to resolve problems, anticipate barriers and create practical solutions; and
• Intermediate skills in the 2007 MS Office Suite.
